Barry heard this song on the way home from work this morning and while we have heard it a million times it has new meaning now. Specifically the first verse and chorus…
“Cry Out to Jesus”
To everyone who's lost someone they love
Long before it was their time
You feel like the days you had were not enough
when you said goodbye
And to all of the people with burdens and pains
Keeping you back from your life
You believe that there's nothing and there is no one
Who can make it right
There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus
For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on
They lost all of their faith and love
They've done all they can to make it right again
Still it's not enough
For the ones who can't break the addictions and chains
You try to give up but you come back again
Just remember that you're not alone in your shame
And your suffering
Chorus
When your lonely (when you're lonely)
And it feels like the whole world is falling on you
You just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
To the widow who suffers from being alone
Wiping the tears from her eyes
For the children around the world without a home
Say a prayer tonight
Chorus
You can listen to the song here.
Praying for you Lisa.

Lisa,
ReplyDeleteI was moved to come here after reading your comment on Deni's blog. My heart is absolutely broken for you and your husband, truly broken. Like you, I too, experienced an ultrasound with a baby who lay peacefully sleeping. I remember those days, all of them and I cry as I write to you. I'm so very sorry and wish that I could reach out to you and give you a hug and tell you something to ease your pain.
I will be in constant prayer for you, as I know the waiting for your appointment on Monday is so difficult. This time lapse was so hard for me as well, but I tried to look at it as time that God was giving me to hold my child a little longer. Honestly, I was in shock and there is so much I tried for forget. And people said and did all the wrong things :( All I wanted was for them to acknowledge my childs precious life.
Take care of yourself and know that I will continue to pray for you.
Much Love
Andrea

I always think of the song by Watermark "Glory Baby" about the loss of their baby. I thought it was perfectly written. Maybe it will speak to you.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure it was the worst day of my life when the dr told us our baby's heart had stopped beating, and I'm still struggling to come to terms with it... This song you've posted has been a little comfort for me.
Please take care of yourselves and you are in my prayers...
I'm so sorry to hear about this, Lisa. I'm sitting here crying as I listen to that song. I said a prayer for you and your hubby. I'm praying for comfort. Take care.
